The ninth issue of (Western Orbits) deals with the nuclear case as an excellently global one. Hence making the global system dependent on the future courses the case would follow.
The topics, researches, and debates published in this issue, tried to approach the various and different aspects of the nuclear case. Mainly those related to arm race unleashed after the cold war. Thus widening the path for other countries, the third world in particular, to join the nuclear club.
Editorial:

Mohammad Nehme,
writes about the reasons behind the
new-rush for nuke in the world
today, especially by many of the
so-called third world countries. He
argues that U.S. led world of 'post
911' makes a strong argument for the
nuclear have-nots countries that
their regimes mere existence lie
right beneath the bombs!
- A-Z: In his article, titled
"The World as a Nuclear
Geo-Strategy," the Editor-in-Chief,
Mr. Mahmoud Haidar, writes about the
New World Order and the effects of
nuclear imbalance on peace and
stability.

- Dr. Mohammed Nehme, publisher of 'Western Orbits', conducts a dialogue with French thinker
Albert Jackard about the cultural, political and strategic ambiguities resulting from the world nuclear case.
- French politician Michel Rockard writes an open letter to the French president Jack Chirac, arguing against the threat, the latter recently uttered in his speech, concerning the use of nuclear weapons as one of the means to defend the French national security.
- Greek journalist Georgios Delistik writes about the Iranian nuclear ambitions and the conflict between Iran and United States. He concludes that the U.S. will not be able to attack Iran.

Mordakhi Fannounou,
who repeatedly accuses Israel of possessing an overwhelming nuclear power that
threatens the world safety and at the same time isn't subject to IAEA inspection.
- Greek writer Cosmos
Mathimirinsh also treats the Iranian nuclear problem and the fluctuating possibilities between confrontation and compromise.

Iran”, American writer Joseph Sirincun spotlights the Iranian nuclear file.

Frank Barnabi discusses in his article the terrorist aspect of the widespread nuclear weapons that reached an alarming level after September 11.
